Search engine optimization, or SEO, is of the utmost importance to many digital marketers. This is because your search ranking can make or break your business. If you don’t rank highly, potential customers may not be able to find you. Or worse- they may do business with your competitors simply because your business was not at the top of the list. Luckily, there are ways to avoid this travesty and rank higher than your competitors

Importance Of H1 Tags

To improve your search ranking, we want to stress the importance of H1 tags in on-page SEO. Now for those of you (like me), who need this broken down into plain English, let me explain. The H1 tag is also known as the header tag in HTML. This is typically the title of your blog post or article. (If you’re still confused, the H1 tag is also the words written in the largest font.)

The reasoning H1 tags are so important to SEO is because these are often used for search engine results. By having a tag in the H1, the search engine will be able to preview bits and pieces of your content which is great for search engine optimization.

For optimum SEO when creating an H1 tag, consider the following. A tag describes your online document, blog post or article. It’s highly important that you create a tag that fits your content, seeing as the H1 tag is the most important for SEO other than the content itself.  Google typically only displays the first 50-60 characters of your title tag, so make sure to keep it short and sweet. If your title is too long, Google will generate a “…” after it has run out of room. When creating a H1 tag, place your most important keywords at the beginning of your tag. This will help its ranking and entice a user to click on your website.

Hopefully when you’re creating your next blog post, article or web document, you keep these tips in mind. You’ll not only rank higher in search, but you may be Choose from the most used tags able to generate revenue with these tips.
